Home Farm/DCU to Participate in FAI National League
Home Farm are pleased to announce that our application, in partnership with Dublin City University, to be part of the new Football Association of Ireland (FAI) National League has been successful.
As a founding member of the National League, we look forward to working collaboratively with the FAI and all other clubs in what is a significant step for football pathways and player development.
The partnership between Home Farm and DCU will be built on education, sport and community and will offer structured third-level education opportunities and scholarships for elite players.
As Home Farm approaches its centenary in 2028, participation in this exciting new football development will provide a pathway for our young players to elite levels of football. It will also provide an academic pathway for our players through access to football scholarships in DCU. The Home Farm/DCU partnership will be unique in Ireland in combining, from a young age, football and academic excellence.
Currently Home Farm has 34 teams, boys and girls, from U8 to senior level, in addition to its academy for 4- to 7-year-olds. The Club has exciting plans to expand both its facilities and its football development programmes.
Home Farm see participation in the FAI National League as a first step in restoring the Club as one of the foremost football academies in Ireland.
